With more than 20 years of training and marketing experience, Kim is passionate about helping individuals and wellness center owners create a ripple effect on the world. Besides owning Sukhino Float Center & Salt Cave in Indiana, she founded the Float Center Owner's Guide (podcast + marketing and training resources) and Mindfull Solutions. She is a co-host of the Art of the Float podcast, a member of the Float Research Collective fundraising team, and a liaison for the FTA. She's on a mission to change the world, one float at a time.

Dr. Roy Vore is the senior consultant with Vore & Associates LLC, a consulting company specializing in aquatic facility management, operator training, and risk management. He is internationally recognized as the pool and spa sector's leading authority on recreational water illness. Since 1991 he has been the aquatics industry’s voice, translating the complexity of microbiology into the everyday language of operators. His efforts include drafting portions of the CDC’s Model Aquatic Health Code, writing the NSPF’s recreational water illness manual, and a variety of fact sheets on microbial issues for APSP. Dr. Vore has over 90 scholarly papers and presentations on the selection and use of industrial biocides, biocide testing methodology, the microbiological of swimming pools and spas, and the governmental regulation of biocides. Roy became interested in floating due to the unique physiology of float tanks and the potential for non-pharmaceutical treatments for our overly stressed society. Roy’s hobbies include making beer and bird watching – which usually includes drinking the beer.

Andrew is PNW born and raised and an explorer at heart. Over the last decade, he has developed practices around float tanks, spiritual herbalism, meditation, and yoga, to alchemize his own depression and self-doubt into purpose and self-belief. Andrew sees floating, in particular, as the most accessible tool in the modern world to tap into our true potential. As the owner and general manager of Float Seattle, Andrew has grown the business from 2 to 4 locations and committed deeply to his mission to provide space for relaxation, healing, and growth for anyone seeking wellness on their own terms. He has facilitated thousands upon thousands of float sessions and finds joy in connecting with guests daily. Running his float business is his way of making the world just a little better than he found it by helping others reduce suffering in their lives and wake up to their potential.

Jonathan has an insatiable passion for the float experience and industry. Driven by what he calls his, “superpower,” a medical condition known as ADHD. But it wasn’t until discovering floatation therapy that provided him a therapeutic alternative to medication for his condition. Not long after his first sensory deprivation experience, Jonathan and his wife Jessie founded Float Light in Appleton, Wisconsin. Float Light was an immediate success and was admired by the industry and community.

Jonathan then focused his attention toward the float industry by becoming a contributing member of the Floatation Tank Association (FTA) and joining the education and outreach committee, hosting and presenting workshops and roundtable events. In addition to his work through the FTA, Jonathan shares his expertise and knowledge for free through online workshops, consultation, business tools and marketing content for float centers, spas and other businesses. Jonathan is an expert in marketing, advertising, videography, graphic design and software engineering. His ultimate goal is to educate the float community on strategies that build public awareness of floatation therapy and the many benefits it provides.

Allan & Jeanne have owned Ocean Elements for 5 years offering multiple modalities. They have 2 adult children, Eva and Arran, and an 11-year-old miniature schnauzer, Dexter. Allan is a consultant at LeadingAgile. His role focuses on coaching teams to enable them to achieve their results by engaging in a way that respects where the client is today, while laying a foundation for where they need to go in the future. He has executive level board experience with the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation. Allan is training to become a Certified Trainer with Inner Matrix Systems (IMS) which trains people in the Art & Science of Personal Mastery by rewiring your emotions, thought strategies and nervous system, to create a life of your own design. Allan floats weekly to enhance his nervous system training and has seen incredible personal results. Jeanne is a Registered Nurse and leverages her medical knowledge to help her clients work through their anxiety, pain, stress and sleep issues through customizing the multiple services they offer. She is a Certified HeartMath® Practitioner and helps her clients achieve coherent alignment of their physical, mental and emotional systems. Jeanne has executive level board experience with both the Baltimore Area Chapter of Legal Nurse Consultants and the Ocean Pines Swim Team. She tries to float weekly and enjoys taking advantage of the other relaxation modalities when possible.
Allan & Jeanne attended their first Float Conference in Portland, OR in 2017 and have become regular attendees. They thoroughly enjoy the “family feel” of the float community, feel passionate about the industry and are ready and willing to contribute to its success and sustainment.

Jennifer & Mark Gurley had their first float in 2013 in an attempt to calm the nerves and stresses associated with Mark’s corporate job. No surprise, it worked beautifully! After getting their hands on a used Samadhi tank they began their own float practice that spread so far and wide in their local community that Jennifer was compelled to open a float center to help others more readily in the Houston area. Attending conferences & workshops since 2013 the Gurley’s finally opened the doors at Infinity Float Center in 2017. Jennifer is a committee volunteer with the FTA while Mark currently sits on the board of directors. They are both excited to now co-chair a seat on the board of directors with the Float Conference to help bring the float community closer together.

Shawnee’s passion for optimizing wellness has led her into providing tools that address stress and anxiety disorders. Her background in nursing was the perfect launching pad for opening Float Magic, a REST and wellness center located in downtown Twin. Heart led and mindful focused, the center’s mission is to deliver modalities that optimize their clients’ well-being. Shawnee was born and raised in Eastern Idaho and has been a part of the Magic Valley for over a decade. She is the proud mother of four incredible boys and enjoys being an integral part of her community. She supports her industry organizations such as the Float Tank Association and Float Research Collective. Shawnee is also active in her community services as President of the CSI Foundation Board, TFSD Construction Academy TAC, a member of Idaho Business Educators and several other leadership/volunteer roles.

Expanding her human experiences is always a priority and Shawnee does this through scuba diving, sky diving, skiing, wine tasting, traveling to remote places and dancing……lots and lots of dancing and of course floating!

Stephen Bryla (Owner) and Christopher Wardlaw (Float Facilitator) of Go With The Float in Easthampton, Massachusetts are extremely excited to be on the board of the Float Conference for the 2024 cycle! Stephen and Chris both are strategic thinkers when it comes to bringing the premier flotation center experience to the Pioneer Valley, and this masterminding bleeds over to our greater interests in the flotation industry. Stephen is obsessed with offering the most perfectly calibrated float experience to all who enter Go With The Float, and looks to help further explore what exactly that entails with the industry at large. Having attended many Float Con's and using the expertise gained from them to supercharge his own business, Stephen has the wisdom and energy to make a unique contribution to the board and the world of flotation. Christopher is currently one of the preeminent flotation practitioners in the industry, having logged over 2300+ hours in the tank in just a little over two years. A burgeoning star in the field of float tank phenomenology, Christopher is making major headway on the intersections of technical meditation and the float tank. He has a special interest in the ethical considerations of introducing potentiating flotation protocols into the mainstream flotation industry discourse and facilitation practice. Together, Christopher and Stephen have an undeniably strong, joyus and infectious dynamic that will help catapult the Float Con' and the industry into the next generation.

Mandi opened the doors to Park Row Floats in the Historic District of Chestertown, Maryland in the spring of 2023. After 18 years in education - most recently as the Dean of Academics in a school with over 50 teachers and 700 K-8 students - Mandi turned her attention to the building that now houses Park Row Floats, a beautiful hotel built in 1900. By 2021, the building had lost some of its shine and a bit of its stature, but none of its charm. By 2023, the completely gutted and renovated building has been returned to its former splendor and now accommodates four commercial spaces, including Park Row Floats.

Mandi brings her years of education leadership and adult training with her to the Float Conference Board. She is blending her wealth of adult learning knowledge with her quite new status as a small business owner to bring the new-owner perspective to the Board. Before owning a Float Center, Mandi's go-to icebreaker was to tell everyone that she had grown up in Bermuda. Being the sole owner and operator of Park Row Floats is infinitely more exciting.
